The Dreaded Croquembouche!

At the beginning of this week in class we made
 a Croquembouche, which is a classic french 
wedding cake. The base is made out of nougatine 
and the top is made out of cream puffs. 
At first I was dreading making this cake, 
but it actually ended up being super fun!
...partially because we got 2nd place in the 
class competition. :)
(if you look closely you can see the butterfly that is made completely out of sugar)
(the 1st place winner and my favorite out of the class)
